Recipe for a Good Day
This was so much fun. Yesterday, I decided to to set the table for myself! Might seem a little odd to some, but how you treat yourself really matters. I had cut out the printables from Molly Hatch's sight in the morning and started to set the table. There is the paper flowers in a vase. The name card which reads: Ms. Hope Less Romantic. The straw topper and flower decoration for the glass. And, last but not least the menu. I decided to write my own recipe for a good day as follows:
I actually was rushing to get it done by noon, which was a funny feeling. Because, most of all these days don't include any deadlines. I had that feeling a couple of times yesterday. I went for a drive to charge my phone and listen to Springsteen's "From my home to yours" on Sirius radio. There was a LOT of roadwork. By, the second time being stopped, I had the feeling of being inconvenienced. I have to wait, again!!! And, then I unclenched my jaw and let my shoulders drop and realized I could sit here all day! What's my hurry? I even had the view of the beach, if I looked the right way.
So, I came home and I set the table. Got up on the chair to take a picture. Looked and realized I didn't include the napkin ring and napkin. Then I heard the car door slam. Oh, sure Glen is going to come home and see me like this. And ask "What are you doing?" Yup, I quickly got off the chair and he answered the question for me. "Oh your taking pictures of your mom's dishes to sell on Ebay" Yup, that's what I was doing and chuckled to myself. The gift I gave myself was a great effort, but to get a laugh, was priceless.

Recipe for a Good Day:
Lots of planning to make it good
Eat Desert First
Make a big plate of goodness and repeat 3x a day
Add a pinch of kindness
A full heaping tablespoon of gratitude
Pour a cup of cheer
Take big bites of anything good for you
Listen with your heart and to some good music
Savor every minute
And most of all, listen to all the things your parents told you
Finish your plate
