Finding My Way
Hope by now, you are finding your way during these strange times. If you are feeling caged in, I hope you are taking walks or getting out and taking a drive. I found the updates between the president, governor and mayor of NYC particularly confusing, yesterday. Wanting to feel this week is the height of the curve, but finding out it is still a couple weeks away. And, then hearing we might be through this sooner then we think. Hearing, "don't go to a food store or pharmacy for the next two weeks"....wait what??? Those are the essential stores and people are going to work there, and you don't want them to have customers? Glad I didn't go just by what I heard on the news and took a ride.
The gas price is down to $1.99. The boardwalks are closed, but there is still beach access. I had to charge my phone, so it was a nice lengthy ride with good music. I listen to Spectrum channel on Sirius radio and it said the band Caamp was disappointed they couldn't tour, so they made coloring pages! And when I went to their band page, a lot of the pages are with sunflowers!!!!
I came home and made dinner and sat outside in my bright spot, until the sun went in the shade. It gets chilly quick. But, the scent of the hyacinths, warmth of the sun, taste of a healthy meal, and the comfort of my pillow made for a nice way to end the day. If you like the linens pictured, they are from April Cornell and on their Facebook page. There is a contest and I would love to hear, someone I know won! I also facetimed with my daughter and later received a text of my grandson laughing for the first time. Hoping we are the down side of the curve, and knowing Spring is in full swing will get me through. Get outside and enjoy! It was nice to see a lot of neighbors putting out chairs six feet from each other, and meeting up.
