I'll Follow the Sun

Approaching Spring and realizing there are so many things I'll miss.  Holland Ridge Farms would have it's third year in 2020.  They set it up as a drive through and for $25 you can drive through and get a bouquet of tulips.  I will try to get up there, while they are not open and admire from afar.  Each time I go out, it is very exciting.  I revel at sitting in a long line of cars at Starbuck's, just to be out and  about, and savor a chai latte.   There are no lines for gas, which was $2.05 yesterday.  I only used 3/4 of a tank in two weeks, which was quite an accomplishment.    And, then food shopping, when I can buy fresh meat for the week, feels like I won the lottery.  But, really the feeling when I see the trees and flowers in bloom, is magnified.  And, when I walk outside and hear the birds singing, it's as if they are singing their songs just for me.  "You're free, you're outside, the sun is shining" they sing!
So, really what am I missing?  I guess that is what isolation is about, is I just have this feeling of missing everyone and everything.  Adapting, adjusting and most of all appreciating is how to get through this.  And, definitely looking at the bright side!!!  Well, here's to looking at the bright side and hoping there are bright sides to your day and days to come this Spring!

Quote for the day:  “The gift we can offer others is so simple a thing as hope.” – Daniel Kerrigan
