Happy Birthday to the best sunflower soul sister ever! Fun Facts: We met painting together at Georgian Court. We were in a lot of classes together, but she graduated a year ahead of me. We went to Washington DC together for my graduation from college. For many years after, we went to major exhibitions together. Van Gogh, Degas, Gaugain and O'Keefe to name a few. She loves Van Gogh more then I do! She and her husband went to Amsterdam to vist Van Gogh Museums. She is a very talented painter. She painted Murals for twenty years. We both have a son and daughter. We both have lost our parents. And, she shares a birthday with my mother. We have started to paint together. She has been painting every night. Right now, on instagram you can follow her newest challenge. She is painting 30 self portraits. An incredibly difficult challenge. But, she is doing it and they are amazing! @liz_beres_scwartz Looking forward to what 2021 will bring in her creative life! Happy Birthday! Hello 2021

During this time of isolation and reflection, I am going to embrace and celebrate this little girl. I am not going to go on a diet, plan an excercise stragedy or change my lifestyle. I am simply going to go with the flow of my life, like a river. I am going to get on a big, comfortable floaty and jump in the river. Climb onto the floaty and hold on for dear life. I am going to put my head back and enjoy the ride. With my eyes wide open, so I can appreciate all the beauty that surrounds me. If I bump into any obstacles, I am going to take them as they come. I am not going to let anything stop me from the joy of a river ride. I am going to listen to music, soak in the sun, handle all of my problems, eat what makes me feel good (hopefully it will be more healthy) and breath in the good and take a big exhale of the bad. Living alone with the holidays quickly approaching can be difficult. I indulged in something for myself this year. It is an advent calender from Lauduree with parisian sweets. I am kinda obsessed with Lauderee. It is a french bakery and confectionery store originating in Paris. I became familiar with it from social media and artists who would paint pictures of macarons. I collected a few cookbooks. And, when Kaylyn and I visited Paris in 2008, it was high on my list of places to visit. It had a line outside and it was very cold. I hate to admit this, but I wanted the bag, tissue paper and ribbon more then anything. I still have it, because I would like to do some crafting with it. I want to decopauge shells and make a mobile as a homage to where I am living. Take Joy

I finished the wreath! I haven't been able to accomplish so much in one day in a lonnnng time. Bought a tree and had it decorated by 3pm! I am amazed and found joy in doing it. Here is something I read in the beginning of December, which always helps: I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep. There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today. Take heaven!
