Relax Refresh Recharge

We have had some spectacular weather lately. It has been nice spending my days off out and about. I have found so much inspiration in the changing seasons, nature, little shops owned by artists and the sea. I feel more relaxed. I am proud of myself for keeping up with the challenge of making a box each day. It has taught me so much of how I need to be creative during this time. And, looking at all that inspires me. By putting it out on social media has helped me feel I inspire others, too. Right now, that means a lot to me. I can't imagine keeping up this pace, though. I'll run out of ideas eventually. The pictures above were taken at New Egypt Flea Market, which I can't wait to get back to. My favorite artist who had a building was Rustic Relics. I really enjoy when someone takes something old and makes something new. Yesterday I went to Barnegat Light in Long Beach Island to visit a little shop called Wildflowers by the Lighthouse. I really enjoyed talking with the owner. She is an Artist and made her beautiful mosaic entryway on her floor. There was an art installation from an Artist she met in Asheville. It was 30 aprons with handrprints made of didn't fabric sewn on and I just missed it. I did get to see another work by this Artist. I really appreciate her work and how she rescues old textiles, crocheted doilies, aprons and spools of thread. Her name is Susan Lenz and I am fascitnated. Of course, I see as I look her up she will be doing the Philadelphia Craft Show in November virtually. I will be checking that out, for sure! I love this time of year to get out as much as possible, before the harsh winter blows in. But, life is really full of inspiration right now! Both in our homes on the computers virtually, and in the great outdoors. Hope you are enjoying something of what Autumn brings in the beauty of natural colors. Looking forward to a ride out to Pennsylvania next to see the leaves change colors. Quote of the Day: Happiness is like a butterfly the more you chase it the more it will elude you. During this time of isolation and reflection, I am going to embrace and celebrate this little girl. I am not going to go on a diet, plan an excercise stragedy or change my lifestyle. I am simply going to go with the flow of my life, like a river. I am going to get on a big, comfortable floaty and jump in the river. Climb onto the floaty and hold on for dear life. I am going to put my head back and enjoy the ride. With my eyes wide open, so I can appreciate all the beauty that surrounds me. If I bump into any obstacles, I am going to take them as they come. I am not going to let anything stop me from the joy of a river ride. I am going to listen to music, soak in the sun, handle all of my problems, eat what makes me feel good (hopefully it will be more healthy) and breath in the good and take a big exhale of the bad. Peace Be With You

Living alone with the holidays quickly approaching can be difficult. I indulged in something for myself this year. It is an advent calender from Lauduree with parisian sweets. I am kinda obsessed with Lauderee. It is a french bakery and confectionery store originating in Paris. I became familiar with it from social media and artists who would paint pictures of macarons. I collected a few cookbooks. And, when Kaylyn and I visited Paris in 2008, it was high on my list of places to visit. It had a line outside and it was very cold. I hate to admit this, but I wanted the bag, tissue paper and ribbon more then anything. I still have it, because I would like to do some crafting with it. I want to decopauge shells and make a mobile as a homage to where I am living. Take Joy

I finished the wreath! I haven't been able to accomplish so much in one day in a lonnnng time. Bought a tree and had it decorated by 3pm! I am amazed and found joy in doing it. Here is something I read in the beginning of December, which always helps: I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep. There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today. Take heaven!
