Put My Art in my Heart

Here I go again, starting a new blog.  The last few months I have had a hard time getting into any of my old accounts.  I really wanted to post, so I started another new blog.  A picture is worth a thousand words!  I really believe that!  I also believe in the success of business in America.  As much as computers have helped business, I think it has hurt business just as well.  I am still involved in retail and in love with Art.  And, that is where I would like to put my focus.  The progress of Art as a whole and especially with women.  The progress of downtown of America.  The positive in an ever changing fast paced world.  I will try to just feature one picture and my thoughts or quotes.  I just want to document the here and now, to focus on the positive of these fast times.  To reflect on the focus of the year 2020.  I hope you will follow along on my journey.
This picture was taken at the first ChristmasCon in 2019.  It was sponsored by Hallmark.  The apron is from April Cornell.  I manage one of three April Cornell's in the United States in Spring Lake, New Jersey.  Christmas Con brought in actors and actresses, vendors, gingerbread contests and an ugly sweater contest celebrating Christmas movies (like a comic con).  We were lucky to be a vendor and we were right next to Hallmark's spectacular booth.  It was like living a dream of being in a snow globe.  A whole little world decorated by a new business called "Rent a Christmas".  Tons of kindred spirits waiting patiently to get their autographs and pictures.  There was a line all day to get their picture taken in the giant ornament I am pictured in above.  Just think of all the great picture greeting cards that went out with a photo taken there!  This is a great example of how computers helped spread the word, and it was a sold out event.
