Kingdom of Days

Well, November didn't end up quite as expected. I lost my motivation to get all 30 boxes listed. I ended up with some bumps in the road. I had someone bid on an item and it got up to $20 for a magazine and then cancelled the order. I expressed my disappointment and she left me horrible feedback and she wasn't even a customer! Ebay reviewed it twice and won't remove. I don't really understand, because she is not a buyer or a customer and it is feedback for customers or buyers. Then I kept having someone offer below the opening bid and then kept trying and getting within 50 cents of the bid. So, what to do.....what to do! So, I made some changes and am now have a buy it now format on what I could change while listing. Wish I could revise or cancel while in auction format, but will try to get every listing cancelled by the 20th of Christmas. This way everything can be shipped to arrive before Christmas. But, I was happy to come home to two sales last night. I am trying to concentrate of the good that comes from spending so much time on Ebay. I am trying not to let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch....but it can be hard at times. Thanksgiving was a beautiful day rich with family and our main attraction, our one year old grandson. What a joy! He kept us on our toes and made us laugh and is just plain fun. I cooked the dinner with the help of my son. And, I thought dinner was really good. Which brings me to my picture above. For the month of December I hope to share some of my favorite inspirations for bringing joy to this season. Most of my Christmas's bringing up twins, I worked six days a week. It can tricky to relax AND enjoy the season. So, back to the picture on facebook from my friend on facebook show a picture with recipes taped to a cabinet. Make sure to use washi tape, it is decorative masking tape, that will not remove paint or hurt the surface. Well, this little trick was brilliant!!! My eyesight is not what it used to be and being in a smaller kitchen has been a challenge going on ten years. It allowed me to gather ingredients and put in containers I would cook them in. I could look up and down without putting my glasses on and off. I could look at all four recipes and figure out the timing to put in the oven as the turkey. I took the recipes down today and put in a binder I had made before we moved to this house. It had some recipes in I had been looking for. So, I am feeling as if I am getting organized for the first time in a long time. I hope to have the time to share here on my blog. Hopefully, it might help you, too.
