Getting To The Root of Things

I was happy to take a ride a few weeks ago and take a some pictures at the Farmstead Arts Center. When I learned about Farmstead Arts in Basking Ridge I expressed some interest in renting studio space. I took some time and looked at the space available and thought seriously about renting the space next year. But, after some thought, I don't think I am ready. I really am happy to be able to set up a room in the basement, again. So, I have been listing on ebay. I am even getting close to filling a big garbage bag to get rid of all the scrapbook paper. It just is so much time to sell all of this. I have been giving some of it away, too. Goals are being met. And, I have figured out some time savers. I just have to figure out how to be found among a billion active listings and 180 million active buyers. I started off with adding some extras with what I have sold in November. I made stickers to put on each item sold this month that read: November 2020 a month to remember and treasure with my store name. I have listed a different box each day so far. Here they are:

Sewing Box Learning so much about myself through this process. Grateful for my customers on Ebay who find me. Realizing how hard it is to be found. But, trying to use my time wisely to document everything to remember this accomplishment by. This creative process I am comparing to growing a tree. This first post is about establishing the roots and a strong foundation. It is coming naturally and I really feel I am digging deep to get to where I need to be. It feels good. Knowing there is a forest of trees, I am glad I am making an effort to try and stand out. Thanks for following along. During this time of isolation and reflection, I am going to embrace and celebrate this little girl. I am not going to go on a diet, plan an excercise stragedy or change my lifestyle. Peace Be With You

Living alone with the holidays quickly approaching can be difficult. I indulged in something for myself this year. It is an advent calender from Lauduree with parisian sweets. I am kinda obsessed with Lauderee. It is a french bakery and confectionery store originating in Paris. I became familiar with it from social media and artists who would paint pictures of macarons. I collected a few cookbooks. And, when Kaylyn and I visited Paris in 2008, it was high on my list of places to visit. It had a line outside and it was very cold. I hate to admit this, but I wanted the bag, tissue paper and ribbon more then anything. I still have it, because I would like to do some crafting with it. I want to decopauge shells and make a mobile as a homage to where I am living. Take Joy

I finished the wreath! I haven't been able to accomplish so much in one day in a lonnnng time. Bought a tree and had it decorated by 3pm! I am amazed and found joy in doing it. Here is something I read in the beginning of December, which always helps: I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep. There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today. Take heaven!
