Branching Out
I can't believe we moved to Brick nine years ago! This Spring I took the time to find Brick Beach. I am pleased, but again surprised. I made my goal to go to the beach as much as possible. Again, several weeks have gone by without taking my beach chair out of my car. Today I also realized I haven't been on my weight watchers app for months. So, I spent the morning cancelling subscriptions to apps I am not using. Time flies is an understatement. It's all good, though. I was treated to much needed time with my grandson. I also have been selling on ebay. So far I have had 20 transactions and have made five hundred dollars! Wooohooo! I also feel good about being set-up to continue doing this for the rest of the year. I love setting goals. Going into the second half of 2020, I am feeling pretty confident of coming out of this year better than before.
One of the observations I have made during the whole pandamic is the need to get outside. I have been enjoying my back patio almost every day. It makes a big difference to my spirit, to feel all my senses in the morning. Even if I just get out there in the morning to water the plants and pull a few weeds it does wonders for my mood each day. Lately, just to hear birds singing brings me great joy. Also, sitting with a newborn baby in a backyard for sometime, makes you see and hear everything with new eyes and ears.
I am also gathering inspiration for when I start painting. I have been visiting lots of museums virtually and every once in a while able to journal or draw a bit. I am putting together what I want to paint when summer is over. Visiting art supply sites to see what supplies I am going to need. Hope to share some pictures soon of my journal pages. I hope you are all taking in these long days of summer and filling them with what you love.
