On My Way

My Journey to Joy is in full swing. The last part of the trail became the rockiest it has ever been in my life. It has been life changing. Can't really talk or write about it, yet. I have a really good support system consisting of the best friends anyone could ask for. The days have been long and very full. We are getting our house ready to list on the market, very soon. I have been packing and purging. I have discontinued Ebay, but might add some items next week. I also put Trades of Hope on hold. I have made three donations to a couple of stores and Homefront. The donations have given me joy to see their faces. Many exclaiming it was thier lucky day. And one even exclaimed, you are like a fairy. That really made me happy . Yesterday was my first real disappointing day. I went to Philadelphia to sell clothes to Buffalo Exchange. I had a rolling suitcase and an IKEA bag full of Talbots dresses and jackets I couldn't just donate. Well today I will be bringing them to donate. It cost me gas, tolls and $22 to park, and I got $11 for three items. Luckily, I am on my way to a weekend of a couple things that I wish I could have done during Covid. So, I have a lot to look foward to and will be sharing on facebook and instagrams my adventures. I hope to see a lot of Van Gogh's!!! During this time of isolation and reflection, I am going to embrace and celebrate this little girl. I am not going to go on a diet, plan an excercise stragedy or change my lifestyle. I am simply going to go with the flow of my life, like a river. I am going to get on a big, comfortable floaty and jump in the river. Climb onto the floaty and hold on for dear life. I am going to put my head back and enjoy the ride. With my eyes wide open, so I can appreciate all the beauty that surrounds me. If I bump into any obstacles, I am going to take them as they come. I am not going to let anything stop me from the joy of a river ride. I am going to listen to music, soak in the sun, handle all of my problems, eat what makes me feel good (hopefully it will be more healthy) and breath in the good and take a big exhale of the bad. Peace Be With You

Living alone with the holidays quickly approaching can be difficult. I indulged in something for myself this year. It is an advent calender from Lauduree with parisian sweets. I am kinda obsessed with Lauderee. It is a french bakery and confectionery store originating in Paris. I became familiar with it from social media and artists who would paint pictures of macarons. I collected a few cookbooks. And, when Kaylyn and I visited Paris in 2008, it was high on my list of places to visit. It had a line outside and it was very cold. I hate to admit this, but I wanted the bag, tissue paper and ribbon more then anything. I still have it, because I would like to do some crafting with it. I want to decopauge shells and make a mobile as a homage to where I am living. Take Joy

I finished the wreath! I haven't been able to accomplish so much in one day in a lonnnng time. Bought a tree and had it decorated by 3pm! I am amazed and found joy in doing it. Here is something I read in the beginning of December, which always helps: I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep. There is nothing I can give you which you have not. But there is much, very much, that, while I cannot give it, you can take. No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in it today. Take heaven!
